Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Lius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bill Glass!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pete Lius!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lius looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Glass is fending him off so far but Lius persists. Nope, Glass circles away and we're back to standing.
Glass smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Pete Lius has been cut.
Glass lunges at Lius with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lius's hand.
Glass displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lius.
A slow jab from Glass misses its intended target.
Glass slips under a jab.
A little feinted left hand from Glass on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lius tries for a takedown but Glass circles away easily
and Glass cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bill Glass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Lius.
Lius rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Glass counters with a left to the body.
Pete Lius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lius throws a jab when Glass was well out of range.
Lius misses with a left hand
and Glass counters with a three punch combo that has Lius backing up. Lius nods at Glass to acknowledge the strikes.
Lius rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Glass counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lius thinking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Glass looks to land a left hand but Lius moved out of range nicely.
Lius misses with a takedown attempt
and Glass counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lius! Glass lets Lius back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Lius is rocked!
Lius fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lius shoots in looking for a takedown. Glass tries to sprawl out of it but Lius keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Glass manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Glass was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lius has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Lius shoots and misses
and Glass counters with a nice right hand that sends Lius toppling to the canvas! Lius scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Glass finish him?!
That has opened up Pete Lius's cut even more.
Glass punishes Lius's body with a nice straight punch.
Lius looks winded!
Glass scores with a hook to the body. Lius takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Glass cracks Lius with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lius looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Glass finish him?
Lius is still on wobbly legs! Can Glass finish him?
The cut above Pete Lius's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Glass lands a jab to Lius's midsection.
Lius leaves his chin hanging out and Glass seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Lius crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bill Glass!
Bill Glass is the new light heavyweight champion!
