The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battock avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Battock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bell throws out the jab.
Battock scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Battock throws a half hearted mid kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Bell blocks the leg kick.
Bell is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Bell has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bell throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Battock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bell tries to clinch up.
Bell misses with a straight left.
Bell misses the jab.
Bell wants to clinch but Battock slips to the side
and Battock counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bell rushes Battock and presses him up against the cage.
Bell tries to pull guard but Battock forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Bell gets control of Battock's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bell will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
