Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Talisay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Terreto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Talisay had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terreto shoots in for a takedown but Talisay shows good takedown defense.
Talisay appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Brian Terreto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Talisay looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Talisay uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Terreto.
Talisay closes this distance looking for a takedown but Terreto circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Talisay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Terreto keeps working.
Talisay could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricardo Talisay will probably get the nod.

Terreto dives in and grabs Talisay's left leg, looking for a takedown. Talisay pushes down on Terreto's head and hops out.

Terreto goes for a double leg but Talisay avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Talisay continues to drive forward.

Terreto throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Talisay tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Terreto is in Talisay's guard.

Talisay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Terreto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Talisay is on top in guard.

Terreto thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Talisay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Terreto swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Talisay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Terreto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Talisay has managed to get both his arms back between Terreto's legs - danger averted.

Terreto is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Talisay has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Talisay!
