The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirosawa tries to clinch but Svensson is having none of it.
A good leg kick by Kirosawa.

Svensson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Greger Svensson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kirosawa walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Sunny Kirosawa has been cut.
Kirosawa on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Svensson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Svensson throws out a loose jab but Kirosawa uses good head movement to avoid it.
Svensson catches Kirosawa with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Kirosawa is breathing heavily.
Svensson throws a good cross that connects.

Sunny Kirosawa's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Kirosawa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sunny Kirosawa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Svensson jabs Kirosawa right on the nose. Kirosawa blinks but takes it well.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kirosawa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Svensson lands a nice hook to Kirosawa's body. Kirosawa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
