Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Grunge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio El Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grunge comes to the cage accompanied by Temple of the Dog - Say Hello To Heaven. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Toro looks to clinch
and Grunge counters with a lovely straight right hand!
El Toro misses the shot to the body.
El Toro scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Grunge has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from El Toro.
El Toro has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Grunge lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A head kick misses from El Toro.
Grunge tried to counter with a leg kick but El Toro avoided it.
Grunge throws a nice inside leg kick.
El Toro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Grunge throws a leg kick but El Toro checks it.
Grunge takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Grunge throws a body punch but El Toro moves out of range.
El Toro moves forwards but Grunge connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

El Toro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Grunge throws a leg kick but El Toro checks it.
Grunge takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Grunge throws a low kick but it's checked well by El Toro.
A little jabbing left from El Toro on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
El Toro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Grunge scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Grunge rushes El Toro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
El Toro is trying to break the clinch but Grunge is controlling him.
El Toro lands with a right to the head.
Grunge landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
El Toro misses with some punches.
Grunge lands a hook that snaps the head of El Toro backwards.

El Toro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Grunge swings away with a leg kick that misses.
El Toro misses with a hook
and Grunge makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Grunge thuds his right hand into El Toro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
El Toro throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Grunge counters with a low kick, right behind El Toro 's knee.
Grunge displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from El Toro.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from El Toro is defended easily by Grunge.
Grunge dips to his left and cracks El Toro with an uppercut!

That has opened up Julio El Toro's cut even more.
Grunge buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Grunge finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Grunge throws a head kick but El Toro moves out of range.
El Toro bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Grunge lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Grunge feints and then cracks El Toro's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow El Toro down.
Grunge explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Grunge scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Tommy Grunge is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A slapping body kick lands there for Grunge.
El Toro looks winded!
Grunge uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Grunge moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Grunge drops El Toro with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but El Toro looks back up at him and smiles so Grunge waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

El Toro is rocked!

The cut above Julio El Toro's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Grunge fakes the body blow, causing El Toro to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! El Toro goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
