Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincento Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sarel The Eagle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vincento Vega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sarel The Eagle!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vega gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Vega drags the fight down to the ground.
The Eagle trying to control the position from guard on top but Vega is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The Eagle wants to pass the guard but Vega is keeping the position.
The Eagle won't allow Vega to get back to his feet.
The Eagle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vega is keeping the position for now.
Vega controlling The Eagle's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Eagle landing some decent shots from guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Eagle trying to control the position from guard on top but Vega is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The Eagle wants to stand and escape but instead Vega has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


The Eagle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vega can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The Eagle looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The Eagle trying to keep a closed guard but Vega is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Vega avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Eagle wants to hit a switch here but Vega passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for The Eagle there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Eagle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The Eagle looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Vega stands up from mount. Strange move.

Vega moves into the clinch successfully.
The Eagle goes for a takedown in the clinch but Vega prevents it.
The Eagle is trying to push Vega away but Vega has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Vega jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Eagle walks away with a smile on his face. Vega gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The Eagle has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Vega.

Vega escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vega throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Vega keeps The Eagle at a distance using the push kick.

Vega takes the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The Eagle is trying to pull guard but Vega turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
The Eagle has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vega is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Vincento Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sarel The Eagle.
Vega is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but The Eagle is defending well.

The Eagle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vega avoids the head kick by The Eagle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vega instigates a clinch.
The Eagle wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vega jumps guard.
The Eagle stops Vega from standing up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The Eagle stands and throws Vega's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Vega tries to escape but The Eagle is in control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vincento Vega dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Vega has closed the distance and engaged The Eagle in a clinch.
Vega tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. The Eagle just stands there and leans against the cage.

The Eagle drags the fight down to the ground.
Vega wants to get up but he can't break The Eagle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Vega got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Eagle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vega has managed to get both his arms back between The Eagle's legs - danger averted.
Vega would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vega gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vega rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Eagle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vega is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that The Eagle can do to turn this around?

Vega moves into the clinch.
Vega is looking to take this one to the mat.
Vega is stalling here.
The Eagle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Vega breaks from the clinch.
The Eagle on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Vega gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Vega trying to land knees to the body.

The Eagle jumps guard and drags Vega to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The Eagle wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Vega is now in half guard.
Vega prevents The Eagle from improving his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Eagle keeps trying to improve his position.

The Eagle looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Vega decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

The Eagle tries to keep at a distance but Vega has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vega escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vega throws a combination. The Eagle tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Vega misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vega lands with a nice combination. The Eagle backs away looking to recover.
The Eagle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vega sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Eagle somewhat.

Vega closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Vega lands a shot to the body.
The Eagle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vega just stands there and leans against the cage.
Vincento Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sarel The Eagle.

Vega lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The Eagle tries to roll over but Vega keeps him under control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vega sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The Eagle keeping hold of Vega's head, controlling as best he can.
The Eagle works his way to full guard. Good work.
The Eagle working a defensive guard but Vega passes into half guard.
Vega tries to stand but can't do so whilst The Eagle controls his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vincento Vega dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


The Eagle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vega appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Vega throws a nice looking combination but The Eagle bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The Eagle rushes Vega and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The Eagle decides to pull guard.

The Eagle has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Vega doesn't defend quickly enough and The Eagle has managed to lock this one up! Can Vega escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to The Eagle on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sarel The Eagle!
