Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Terry Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hans Zimmer - The Last Samurai Theme. Terry Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Hicks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hicks loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch.
Crunch! Johnson slams his shin into Hicks's torso.
Hicks scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson misses with an attempted mid kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hicks! But no joy.
Hicks moves out of range as Johnson throws a body kick.
Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Johnson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hicks takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hicks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hicks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hicks is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Johnson is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Hicks's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Johnson is rocked!
Steve Hicks seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hicks connects with a quick right hand that sends Johnson tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

Our winner, Steve Hicks, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
