Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dom Howe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Hopp!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Howe tries to clinch but Hopp is having none of it.
Howe dodges the punch combination from Hopp.

Hopp gets a clinch.
Howe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hopp fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hopp circles away from the clinch attempt

and Hopp counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Howe!
Howe wants to control but Hopp is having none of it.

Hopp working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hopp lands a heavy elbow.
Howe tries to reverse the position but Hopp maintains control.

Hopp stands up and beckons Howe to join him on the feet.

Howe wants to hold on but Hopp pushes him away.
Howe is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Howe is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Howe takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Howe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Howe wants to hold on but Hopp pushes him away.
Hopp lands a nice shot to the head.
Hopp really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Howe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Howe is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hopp controlling his opponent.
Howe sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Hopp prevents Howe from improving his position.

Hopp seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hopp gets to his feet. Howe looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hopp is trying to control the action in half guard but Howe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Howe looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hopp puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Howe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Howe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hopp can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Michael Hopp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hopp is controlling the position but Howe somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hopp wants to lay and pray for a moment but Howe keeps working.
Well, if Hopp is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Howe kicks off Hopp and gets to his feet.

Hopp clinches with his opponent.
Hopp has Howe pushed against the cage.
Howe tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hopp just stands there and leans against the cage.
Howe wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hopp has him pressed against the cage.

Hopp is trying to trip Howe. He has hold of a leg but Howe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hopp persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Hopp postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Howe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hopp, into his guard.

Hopp tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Howe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hopp is keeping the position for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Howe looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Hopp darts in and clinches Howe up against the cage.
Dom Howe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hopp tightens his grip and picks Howe up, before dumping him to the ground. Howe manages to land in guard.

Howe working for a triangle but Hopp defends it easily.

Michael Hopp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hopp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
