Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ritchie Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Perrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by Luxurious. Perrone has chosen Eye Of The Tiger as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedro Perrone!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrone throws a right hand that Souza ducks under and follows up with a left that Souza also avoids with ease.
Perrone is looking to clinch but Souza is avoiding it.
Perrone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Souza moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A lazy body kick from Souza

and Perrone counters with a shoot takedown. Souza fights it but they end up in guard.

Souza kicks Perrone off and gets to his feet.
Perrone avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Souza swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Perrone now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Souza throws a series of punches but Perrone moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Souza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fighters circling - Souza throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Perrone throws a big counter head kick but Souza avoids it with no problem.

and Perrone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Souza won't be happy with that.

Souza has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Perrone has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Perrone throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Perrone is pressed up against the cage. Souza has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Perrone down to the mat. Perrone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Souza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perrone moves away.
Perrone raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Souza stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Souza wants it to stay on the feet.
Perrone takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A punch lands to the side of Perrone 's head but he takes it in his stride.
