The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Katou. No joy for Dangerfield on that attempt.

Dangerfield closes the distance and clinches.
Dangerfield lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Dangerfield turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Katou sneaks out the side door and pushes Dangerfield away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Dangerfield struggles to land a body shot inside as Katou controls his hands.
Dangerfield misses with a hook to the ribs.
Katou wants to get back to striking at distance but Dangerfield won't allow it.

Dangerfield works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Katou is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Dangerfield should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Dangerfield tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Katou avoids it.

Katou pulls Dangerfield into guard.
Dangerfield prevents Katou from getting back to his feet.

Dangerfield keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Katou's head.

Katou has his feet on Dangerfield's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Katou scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Dangerfield shoots in and drives through. Katou sprawls well.
Dangerfield shoots for a takedown but Katou saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Katou half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Joe Katou has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocco Dangerfield.
Katou pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dangerfield back to the cage. Katou follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Katou tries to sprawl but Dangerfield drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Dangerfield looks winded!
Dangerfield throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dangerfield wants to lay and pray for a moment but Katou keeps working.

Katou manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Katou lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Joe Katou is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dangerfield takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Katou tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dangerfield manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dangerfield with the counter takedown but Katou avoids it easily.

Oooooh!!! Katou has knocked Dangerfield down with a huge combo! Katou steps away and waves a wobbly Dangerfield back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Dangerfield is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
BOOM! Katou lands a beautiful left hook that drops Dangerfield. Dangerfield tries to recover but Katou is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Dangerfield lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
