Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pestilence Pig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pig is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I will infect your family!. Ricky Vaughn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Vaughn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pestilence Pig!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Vaughn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Vaughn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Pig had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vaughn is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pig Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vaughn's back instead.

Vaughn is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ricky Vaughn just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Pig tries to roll over but Vaughn keeps him under control.

Vaughn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pig on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vaughn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Vaughn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pig for as long as he can get away with.

Vaughn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pig is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Vaughn will probably get the nod.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pig accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pig closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vaughn to the mat! Vaughn manages to get full guard.

Pestilence Pig showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Vaughn drives through and clinches with Pig against the cage.

Vaughn is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pig can't fight it off and eventually Vaughn manages to take the fight to the floor. Pig looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Vaughn is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Vaughn perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pestilence Pig has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pig has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Vaughn. Oh but Pig has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Vaughn goes limp - he's gone! Pig jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
