Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruslan Belediyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason comes to the cage accompanied by Jack and Jack - I'm In. Jack Jason has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Jason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruslan Belediyev!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jason misses with a looping right.
Belediyev slips under a jab.
Jason backing away here, and Belediyev unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Belediyev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jason is fending him off so far but Belediyev persists. Nope, Jason circles away and we're back to standing.
Jason throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jack Jason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jason misses with a few strikes there.
Belediyev lands a high kick!
Jason throws a shot from downtown. Belediyev moves away and avoids it.

Belediyev rushes Jason and presses him up against the cage.

Belediyev jumps guard.
Belediyev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jason pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belediyev is keeping the position for now.
Belediyev has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Hell's Furnace Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Jason gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jason throws a lazy head kick

and Belediyev counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Belediyev.

Jason is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Belediyev working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jason's head.
Belediyev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jason. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Belediyev is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jason looking to hit a scissor sweep but Belediyev is one step ahead there.
Jason throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Jason had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Belediyev defends it easily.
Belediyev is looking to work some ground and pound but Jason has wrist control.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Jason manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Belediyev drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jason throws a big right hand that misses.
Jason's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jason loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jason really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Belediyev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Belediyev is looking to sweep but instead, Jason has passed into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Belediyev has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jason is on him like a limpet, forcing Belediyev back against the cage.
Belediyev throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jasons head.

Belediyev gets a trip takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jason pushes Belediyev off and gets back to his feet.
Jason thows a left - swing and a miss!
Belediyev avoids the head kick by Jason.
Jason stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Belediyev.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jason throws a hook but Belediyev avoids it easily.
Belediyev darts in looking for a takedown but Jason gets double underhooks and turns Belediyev into the cage.
Belediyev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Belediyev shoots for a takedown but Jason saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jack Jason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruslan Belediyev.
Belediyev looks winded!
Jason tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jason throws a left and a right that both miss

and Belediyev counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Jason scrambles and gets back to his feet.
A slow jab from Jason misses its intended target.
Belediyev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jason but Jason pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jason misses with an uppercut
and Belediyev counters with a three punch combo that has Jason backing up. Jason nods at Belediyev to acknowledge the strikes.
Belediyev tries for a takedown but Jason sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Jason throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jason looks to throw the jab but Belediyev is out of range.
Jason throws the left hand but Belediyev avoids the punch easily.

Belediyev instigates a clinch.
Jason wants to get back to striking at distance but Belediyev won't allow it.
Jason tries to circle away but Belediyev has him pinned against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Jason will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jason tries to pull guard but Belediyev won't allow it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jason decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Belediyev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jason pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jason rushes Belediyev and presses him up against the cage.

Belediyev ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Belediyev no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jason wants to control from the top but Belediyev keeps moving.

Belediyev wants to stand but Jason has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Jason lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belediyev looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jason accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jason is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Belediyev tries to land a sweep but no joy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jason gets to his feet. Belediyev looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jason misses with an uppercut. Belediyev saw that one coming.
Jason tries a head kick but it misses.
Belediyev feints a counter leg kick.
Jason tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Belediyev takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jason throws a lazy right hand but Belediyev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Belediyev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jason throws a right and a left that Belediyev avoids nicely.
Jason is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Belediyev moves into the clinch.
Jason fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jason wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Belediyev keeps control of Jason as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Jason will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Belediyev has Jason up against the cage in a clinch.
Jason is looking for a takedown.

Belediyev wants the takedown. Jason is fighting it off but Belediyev persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jason's guard against the cage.
Jason controls Belediyev momentarily but Belediyev frees himself.

Belediyev has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jason is proving hard to escape from.

Jason pulls Belediyev in close to prevent any damage.

Jason is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Belediyev rushes Jason and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Belediyev isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jason stacks Belediyev on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jason!
Belediyev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

You can see the frustration on Belediyev's face as Jason controls the position.
Belediyev gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Belediyev is not content to let Jason control the position.

Jason seems to be working for a kimura but Belediyev defends the submission attempt.

Jack Jason is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Belediyev wants to get back to full guard.
Jason is looking to take a break and control but Belediyev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jason content to control rather than advance.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Jason.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jason, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
