Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pit Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mies comes to the cage accompanied by Condemned 84 - Face the agression. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Murray is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Murray misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mies half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Murray just misses with a punch to the body.

Murray fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mies, pushing him back against the cage.

Murray has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mies regains guard immediately.
Mies is looking to sweep but instead, Murray has passed into half guard.
Murray tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mies controls his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mies flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Murray wants to stand up but Mies has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mies is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Murray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Murray's back!

Mies is looking for the choke from the back position but Murray is controlling his hands well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Murray wants to get up but he can't break Mies's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Murray must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Pit Mies will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Murray wants the takedown. Mies is fighting it off but Murray persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mies's guard against the cage.

Mies is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Murray is trying to trip Mies. He has hold of a leg but Mies is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Murray persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mies has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Murray can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mies working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murray doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mies is tightening it up a little... Murray has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Murray reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Murray taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mies!
