The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Derek Jacobs has been cut.
Hughes throws a right hand that Jacobs ducks under and follows up with a left that Jacobs also avoids with ease.
Hughes wants to land a leg kick but Jacobs is out of range.

Hughes bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Jacobs! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Jacobs is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hughes stands up and waves to Jacobs to follow him.
Oh Jacobs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jacobs switches off momentarily and Hughes cracks him with a monster right hand! Jacobs topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hughes dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hughes!
