Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rogelio Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Heaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clayton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Heaton to the mat! Heaton manages to get full guard.
Clayton throws a big elbow that misses.
Clayton wants to control from the top but Heaton keeps moving.
Clayton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Heaton wants to sweep here but Clayton controlling him for the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heaton looks to throw the jab but Clayton is out of range.

Heaton shoots in and bounces Clayton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Clayton manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Heaton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Heaton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Clayton can't fight it off and eventually Heaton manages to take the fight to the floor. Clayton looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Clayton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Heaton scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Heaton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Heaton gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Heaton has hold of one of Clayton's legs. Clayton is fighting the takedown attempt but Heaton gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Clayton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Heaton's guard.

Clayton shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Heaton is trying to defend but Clayton finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Clayton decides to stand up.

Heaton clinches up with Clayton and pushes him back against the cage.

Heaton gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Clayton regains guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Rogelio Clayton will probably get the nod.

Heaton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clayton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Clayton is looking to control Heaton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Clayton avoid being mounted?

Clayton wants to hit a switch here but Heaton passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Clayton there!
Heaton postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Clayton in real trouble here! The ref calls for Clayton to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
