Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hulk Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan throws a right and a left that Watson avoids nicely.
Watson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hogan.
Hogan throws a series of punches but Watson avoids them all with ease.
Some wild striking there from Hogan.
Hogan throws a nice looking combination but Watson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Watson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hogan throws a body shot but no joy.
Watson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hogan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hogan tries to clinch up but Watson circles away and keeps his distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hogan. Watson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hogan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Watson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Hogan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Watson.
Hogan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Watson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Watson misses its target.
Hulk Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hogan misses with a body punch
and Watson counters with a left to the body.
Hogan doesn't manage to clinch there - Watson circles away.
Watson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Watson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hogan.
Hogan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Watson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hogan sprawls well. Hogan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Watson gets slowly back to his feet.
Hogan doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Hogan tries to bum rush Watson with a series of wild strikes but Watson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hogan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watson manages to avoid it.

Hogan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hogan tries to clinch but Watson is having none of it.
Watson lands a nice looking body shot.

Watson darts in and clinches Hogan up against the cage.
Watson misses with the head strike.

Watson jumps guard and drags Hogan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hogan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hogan won't allow Watson to sweep him here.
Hogan wants to get up but he can't break Watson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Watson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hogan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hogan gets to his feet - Watson follows without any prompting.

Hogan throws a looping overhand right but Watson ducks down to avoid it.
Watson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hogan misses with a two punch combination.

Watson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Watson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Watson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hogan misses with a straight right.
Hogan Throws a clean left jab. Hogan Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Watson's chin! Watson crumbles to the ground and Hogan follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Hogan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hulk Hogan!
