Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Munir Isa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Kingkaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Kingkaid!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Isa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kingkaid moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kingkaid dodges the punch combination from Isa.

Isa tries to bum rush Kingkaid with a series of wild strikes but Kingkaid uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Isa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kingkaid circles away quickly and effectively.

Kingkaid looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kingkaid is working for a kimura but Isa is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kingkaid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Isa is fending him off so far but Kingkaid persists. Nope, Isa circles away and we're back to standing.

Kingkaid feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round but I would say that Munir Isa will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kingkaid goes for an armbar but Isa turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Isa.

Kingkaid has his foot on Isa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Isa works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Kingkaid counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Isa pushes Kingkaid off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
