Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Loren Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jimmy Lupo!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupo gets a takedown into half guard.
Lupo is looking for a kimura here.
Guy tries to roll over but Lupo keeps him under control.
Guy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Guy is trying to control but can't.
Guy is looking for a sweep. Lupo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lupo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Guy manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lupo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Guy is looking to stand up but Lupo isn't so interested in that idea.
Lupo slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Guy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guy wants to control the position but Lupo says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Lupo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Guy wants to get back to full guard but Lupo has mounted him!
Lupo is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lupo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Lupo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Guy has given up his back here. Will Lupo look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Lupo is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Guy has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Lupo has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Guy taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Lupo doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jimmy Lupo!
Jimmy Lupo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
