The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wade Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Drake instigates a clinch.
Wilson jumps guard but Drake turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Drake looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Drake wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Drake goes for a double leg but Wilson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wilson continues to drive forward.
Drake tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wilson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Drake keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Wilson drives through and clinches with Drake against the cage.

Wilson is pushing Drake up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Drake is trying to break the clinch but Wilson has him pressed against the cage.

Drake blocks a head kick by Wilson.
Drake shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Drake's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Wilson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Wilson pushes Drake off and gets back to his feet.
Drake avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Drake tries to counter with a takedown but Wilson is quick to defend against it.

It looks like Wilber Drake has been cut.

Wilson closes the distance looking for a takedown. Drake stuffs it but Wilson still has hold of him. Wilson picks Drake up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Wilson slams Drake to the floor and that's really hurt Drake - he doesn't know where he is! Wilson throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
