The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mystery.
Mystery wants to clinch.
Gomez throws a counter combo.

Gomez clinches up against the cage.
Gomez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mystery is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gomez tries to pull guard but Mystery holds him up against the cage and eventually Gomez drops back down to his feet.

Gomez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mystery manages to avoid it.

Mystery has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gomez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gomez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
