Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between JJ Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toshi Yuu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toshi Yuu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toshi Yuu!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Jackson gets a takedown into half guard.
Yuu pushes Jackson off but Jackson dives into side control.

Jackson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yuu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yuu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jackson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A punch combination from Yuu misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Yuu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Yuu swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
A lazy left from Yuu finds it's target.
Yuu's corner calls for a 1-2. Yuu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Yuu throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.

Yuu lands a right hook to the body.
Jackson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Despite the aggression on Yuu's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nice uppercut lands for Yuu. That snapped Jackson's head back.

Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jackson performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson is pressing down on Yuu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Yuu is holding on for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Yuu throws a lazy right hand but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Yuu looks winded!

Yuu cracks Jackson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jackson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Yuu to score with a decent uppercut.
Sloppy strikes from Jackson. Those never looked like landing.

Jackson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Yuu's guard.

Jackson stands up and waves to Yuu to follow him.

Jackson shoots in and bounces Yuu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jackson lands a nice forearm strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yuu misses with an attempted mid kick.

Jackson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yuu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jackson is in Yuu's guard.
Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jackson chips away with some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yuu is breathing heavily.

Jackson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Yuu!

JJ Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jackson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Jackson but it's paid off an Yuu is forced to tap! Nice work by Jackson.
