The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Khabilov with that takedown attempt.
Khabilov scores with a takedown into Mcneil's guard.
Khabilov throws an elbow that misses. Mcneil uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Khabilov's guard. Nice move by Mcneil!
Khabilov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mcneil wants to stand and escape but instead Khabilov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Khabilov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Khabilov stands up over Mcneil, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Khabilov gets to his feet and stands over Mcneil, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Mcneil felt that one! Khabilov unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Mcneil from any more punishment!
