Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ushat Belov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pearson has chosen Justin Bieber ft. Ariana Grande - Let Me Think Bout You as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pearson was covering up waiting for the punch and Belov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Pearson is adopting a defensive guard.

Belov throwing strikes but missing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belov trying to control the position from guard on top but Pearson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Belov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Belov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pearson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Belov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pearson wants to hit a switch here but Belov passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pearson there!

Belov has hold of Pearson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pearson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pearson is looking to improve his position but Belov isn't that keen on the idea.
Pearson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Belov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pearson is surviving well by controlling Belov's body position as best he can.
Pearson tries to hold on but Belov pushes him away.

Pearson is trying desperately to improve position.
Belov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Belov is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Belov extends the arm and Pearson is forced to tap!
