Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Block (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kasey Scorpion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scorpion has chosen Jiu Jitsu as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Block throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Scorpion swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Scorpion lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Block fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Scorpion.
Block tries to score with a low kick but Scorpion moves his leg out of the way.
Scorpion is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

and Scorpion counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Block lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Scorpion has hold of Block's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Block manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scorpion avoids the attempt from Block to control.
Scorpion wants to control but instead Block manages to regain half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Scorpion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Block can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

I was talking to Block's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Scorpion tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Block manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Scorpion shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Block is trying to defend but Scorpion finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Block bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Scorpion's guard.

Scorpion escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Block gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Scorpion. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

and Scorpion makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Scorpion knocks out Block with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Scorpion before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Scorpion picks up the big W with a huge KO!
