The crowd seem to be enjoying Perrone's choice of entrance music: Eye Of The Tiger. Pedro Perrone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedro Perrone!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perrone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Boyle manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Boyle is trying to keep Perrone in close.

Perrone drops back looking for a leg! Boyle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boyle manages to kick Perrone off! Perrone jumps back into Boyle's guard.
Perrone won't allow Boyle to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perrone misses with a takedown attempt - Boyle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boyle wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Perrone darts in looking for a takedown but Boyle gets double underhooks and turns Perrone into the cage.

Perrone wants to control from the top but Boyle keeps moving.

Boyle controls Perrone momentarily but Perrone frees himself.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Perrone looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Perrone in particular looking to stall.

Perrone darts in looking for a takedown but Boyle gets double underhooks and turns Perrone into the cage.
Boyle seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Perrone drives through with a takedown into Boyle's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Perrone chips away with some ground and pound.
Boyle seems keen to control Perrone's posture.
Boyle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Boyle is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Perrone sees it coming and defends easily.

Perrone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boyle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Perrone landing some decent shots from guard.

Boyle is adopting a defensive guard.

Boyle has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Perrone has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Perrone has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Boyle regains guard immediately.
Perrone is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Perrone cracks Boyle with a solid left hand.
Perrone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pedro Perrone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Perrone lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Boyle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boyle is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Boyle is squirming around, avoiding Perrone's attempts to control the action.

Perrone is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Boyle has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Perrone trying to control but Boyle is having none of it.

Perrone misses with a head shot.
Perrone landing strikes from the mount.
Perrone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Perrone is landing with some decent strikes but Boyle is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Perrone jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Boyle manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Perrone is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Boyle's shoulder. That is not cool.
Perrone lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Perrone advances nicely into full mount.
Boyle really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

I've got Perrone winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
