The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paelinck connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Connor momentarily.
Connor dodges the punch combination from Paelinck.
Connor looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Paelinck connects with a body shot that sends Connor's belly button to the back.
Paelinck throws a shot to the body.
Paelinck lands a jab to the head.
Connor dives in for a single leg takedown but Paelinck sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Paelinck stuffs the takedown.
Connor moves forwards but Paelinck connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Paelinck has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Connor is rocked!

Paelinck is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Connor's half guard.
Connor tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Paelinck manages to move to mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
