Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Mikhailov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Numagodov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mikhailov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Numagodov is looking for a triangle but Mikhailov pushes his legs off easily.
Numagodov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Mikhailov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Numagodov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Numagodov pushes Mikhailov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mikhailov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mikhailov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Numagodov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Numagodov tries to clinch there but Mikhailov circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Numagodov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Numagodov is pushing Mikhailov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The crowd are getting on Numagodov's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Mikhailov tries to pull guard but Numagodov holds him up against the cage and eventually Mikhailov drops back down to his feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mikhailov is on top in guard.

Numagodov has his foot on Mikhailov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mikhailov works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Numagodov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Numagodov wants to control his opponent's hands but Mikhailov gets his hands free.
Mikhailov lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Numagodov hold on?!

Mikhailov is working for a rear naked choke. Numagodov is not defending it well and Mikhailov has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Numagodov refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Numagodov's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
