The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones enables Barnett to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Barnett drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barnett jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Barnett drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jones working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
