Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Octavois Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anaru Parata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres shoots and misses
and Parata counters with a nice body shot.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Parata!
Torres closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Parata bucks up and tries to throw Torres off but instead Torres has got his back!
Torres working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Torres struggling to keep hold of the position.
Parata looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Torres seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parata is really stuck here.

Torres lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Torres connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Parata to escape the position.
Torres looking to break Parata's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Parata remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Torres will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Parata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Torres. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Torres gets his hands free as Parata looks to control.

Torres is persistently looking for the submission but Parata is defending it well.
A lull in the action here.
Parata tries to roll but Torres sticks to his back.

Torres has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Parata defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Parata trying to control but Torres is working from the bottom.

Parata avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Parata is in close to Torres's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Torres manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Parata manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres stays in close to Parata's body and controls the position.
Torres wants to control from the top but Parata keeps moving.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Octavois Torres dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Parata throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Torres on the side of the head.

and Torres takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Parata's jab looks to have found its range, popping Torres under the eye.
Torres walks into a stiff left hand from Parata.
Torres shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Parata counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Parata lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Torres shoots in looking for a takedown but Parata manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Torres's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Octavois Torres. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parata thuds his right hand into Torres's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Parata dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Torres fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Parata cracks Torres with a right hand to the side of the head.
Parata catches Torres with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Anaru Parata is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A low kick from Torres misses
and Parata counters with a nice right hand that sends Torres toppling to the canvas! Torres scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Parata finish him?!
Torres is rocked!
Parata sizes up Torres with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Oh Torres is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Anaru Parata seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fighters circle momentarily. Parata darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Anaru Parata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parata drops Torres with a big left hand! Torres is injured, injured bad! Parata jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anaru Parata!
