Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jere Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlon De Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jere Henry has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jere Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marlon De Jesus!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Jesus pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Henry clinches up with De Jesus and pushes him back against the cage.
Henry can't break the clinch.
De Jesus tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
De Jesus tries to work over Henry's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
De Jesus is trying to break the clinch but Henry is controlling him.
De Jesus misses with the head strike.

Henry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
De Jesus misses with an uppercut. Henry saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Jesus misses with a body kick.
Henry on the wrong end of a nice jab.

De Jesus drives through and clinches with Henry against the cage.
Henry is trying to break the clinch but De Jesus is controlling him.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

The referee asks Henry politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Henry prefers to stall for the moment though.

Henry creates some space and throws a big elbow, but De Jesus sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Henry wants to lay and pray for a moment but De Jesus keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

De Jesus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Henry was well out of range. Poor timing from De Jesus.
As De Jesus looks to move away, Henry throws a big counter combo but De Jesus just gets out of the way.
De Jesus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henry circles away quickly and effectively.

De Jesus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
