Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arden Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lebroke James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lebroke James told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arden Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lebroke James!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James closes the distance but Carter moves to the side
and Carter counters with a nice double leg into guard.
James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carter manages to get himself to full guard.
James engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Carter looking for a guillotine here but James defends easily.
James wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
James stands up from Carter's guard - James perhaps looking for a knockout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Carter.
James manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Carter on his heels. He'll look to pass Carter's guard now, I'm sure.
Carter isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. James stacks Carter on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by James!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carter has escaped the position, nice work there.
Carter is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
James has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
James scores with a sloppy right hand. Carter should have avoided that one.
It looks like Arden Carter has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carter closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away.
James changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
James goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Carter rolls with the submission and now he's on top in James's guard! Nice work there by Carter!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carter's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
James has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Carter doesn't defend quickly enough and James has managed to lock this one up! Can Carter escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to James on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lebroke James!
