Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Connor McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paynuss Chonus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chonus has chosen Reverend Paynus as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paynuss Chonus!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCormick moves in looking to clinch but Chonus pushes him off.
Chonus wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Chonus lands a nice shot that snaps McCormick's head back.
McCormick takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Chonus throws a head kick that misses.
McCormick tries to clinch but Chonus is having none of it.
Chonus is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
McCormick tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McCormick throws a sloppy head kick and Chonus moves out of range easily.
McCormick is breathing heavily.
Chonus looks to land a body kick but McCormick moved away.

Chonus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chonus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chonus pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Chonus has closed the distance and engaged McCormick in a clinch.
Chonus makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chonus scores with a shoulder strike.

Chonus lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
McCormick takes a shot to the head.
Chonus dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.
Chonus lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Chonus lands a body punch.
Chonus lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McCormick backwards.

McCormick definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chonus digs a right hand underneath McCormick's ribcage. McCormick let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Chonus scores with a nice hook to the head.
Oh McCormick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A short body shot lands from Chonus as the two fighters clinch.
Chonus lands a left hand.

Chonus pushes McCormick back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Chonus lands an uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chonus breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks McCormick with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! McCormick looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. McCormick get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action!
McCormick tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Chonus is looking to chop away at McCormick's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Having scored a knockdown, Paynuss Chonus should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
McCormick tries to move into range but Chonus moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
McCormick seems to have got his legs back now.
Chonus moves into the clinch.

Chonus lands a hook that snaps the head of McCormick backwards.
Chonus slowing the pace effectively.

Chonus lands a big right hand! McCormick is out cold! This one is all over!
