Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kwiwan Fogomayu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fogomayu has chosen Kyamadu as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Steiner thuds a left hand into Fogomayu's body.
We've been informed that Fogomayu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Steiner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fogomayu lands a right hand.
Steiner avoiding damage.
Steiner tries to throw a body punch but Fogomayu avoids it by throwing Steiner back against the cage.

and Fogomayu counters with a three punch combo that has Steiner backing up. Steiner nods at Fogomayu to acknowledge the strikes.
Fogomayu steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Steiner. That one must have hurt.
Steiner throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fogomayu.
Fogomayu now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steiner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fogomayu's guard.

Fogomayu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Steiner throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fogomayu on the side of the head.

Steiner tries to land a front kick but Fogomayu steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Fogomayu closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fogomayu throws a head kick but Steiner moves out of range.

and Steiner counters with a left to the body.
Fogomayu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alex Steiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steiner misses with a low kick.
Steiner takes a swing at Fogomayu's ribcage but misses.
Fogomayu throws out a counter right but Steiner avoids it with no problem.
Steiner throws a nice outside leg kick.
Steiner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Steiner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Steiner tries to clinch but Fogomayu is having none of it.
Fogomayu closes the distance and pushes Steiner back into the cage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alex Steiner will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It seemed like Fogomayu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Steiner is looking to wear down Fogomayu with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Steiner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fogomayu moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fogomayu. Steiner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steiner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Steiner is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

As Steiner backs off Fogomayu throws a huge counter combo but Steiner manages to avoid it all.

Fogomayu catches Steiner with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Oh Steiner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fogomayu throws an uppercut from hell that sends Steiner clean off his feet! He's out cold! Fogomayu stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Our winner, Kwiwan Fogomayu, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
