Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Federico Manta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wedge Xiii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manta comes to the cage accompanied by Ultima Corsa by Mondo Marcio. Wedge Xiii has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Manta. Xiii does a little dance to reset his feet.
Xiii swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Xiii keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Xiii misses with an uppercut. Manta saw that one coming.
Manta lands with a thumping leg kick.
Manta fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Xiii throws a jab when Manta was well out of range.
Xiii shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Manta sprawls well. Manta wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Xiii gets slowly back to his feet.

Manta takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Xiii bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Manta's head backwards.
Xiii takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Xiii tries for a takedown but Manta circles away easily
and Manta counters with a nice uppercut.
Xiii tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Manta defends well and Xiii ends up having to push Manta into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Federico Manta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wedge Xiii.
Manta is looking to slow Xiii down with leg kicks.

Manta is fighting off a takedown attempt but Xiii is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Manta to the mat. Manta regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Xiii accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Manta is on top in guard.
Xiii controls Manta momentarily but Manta frees himself.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Manta, as that shot connected.

Xiii walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Manta throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Manta feints with a jab and clips Xiii right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Xiii is sent crashing into the canvas and Manta leaps in for the kill! Xiii tries to get to his feet but Manta is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Xiii is in need of a savior and steps in!
