And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacNeill rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Johnson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
MacNeill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

MacNeill is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacNeill blocking the ground and pound attempt from Johnson.
MacNeill is trying to maintain the position but Johnson is very close to passing his half guard.

Johnson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Johnson throwing shots but MacNeill is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
MacNeill wants to get back to full guard.
Johnson really is a fat lump.

Johnson is nestled in close to MacNeill, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Johnson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed MacNeill's head.
MacNeill tries to get to full guard but Johnson has control of the leg.
MacNeill is trying to control but Johnson passes into side control!

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Johnson lands a nice forearm strike.

Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by MacNeill, who protects the arm well.

Johnson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Johnson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. MacNeill looks calm but he's in trouble here. Johnson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. MacNeill is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Johnson lets go of the hold and MacNeill can pop his arm back in it's socket.
