Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Durant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vieira kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is T.I. - Go get it. Rafael Vieira could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kevin Durant's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Durant ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Durant takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Vieira throws a sloppy head kick and Durant moves out of range easily.
Durant pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rafael Vieira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vieira cracks Durant with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Durant has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Vieira takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Vieira seems to have got his legs back now.
Durant throws a series of punches but Vieira moves out of range.
Vieira throws a shot from downtown. Durant moves away and avoids it.

Durant cracks Vieira with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Vieira looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Durant finish him?
Vieira lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Durant circles away quickly and effectively.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Durant! But no joy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vieira tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Durant is able to avoid easily.

Durant lands a big uppercut and Vieira crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Vieira looks OK. Durant waves Vieira back to his feet!

Durant tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vieira was well out of range. Poor timing from Durant.

Vieira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Durant let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

A head kick from Vieira lands but Durant takes it in his stride.
Durant is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Vieira had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Durant looks to score with a jab to the body but Vieira is just out of range.

Vieira tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Durant stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vieira.
