Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
30 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clinton Hessler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
33 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Camacho!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camacho scores with a nice strike.
The crowd cheers as Camacho lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hessler doesn't seem phased though.
Camacho connects with a leg kick. Hessler looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Camacho throws a leg kick but Hessler sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hessler throwing a counter right hand but Camacho manages to avoid it.
Camacho scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A left lands for Hessler.
Hessler throws a head kick that misses.
Camacho misses with a head kick.
It looked like Hessler wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Camacho scores with a jab to the head.
Camacho lands a left and a right that send Hessler crashing to the mat, dazed. Camacho thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Hessler is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Camacho avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Despite the aggression on Camacho's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Oh Hessler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hessler drops his hands momentarily and Camacho needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Hessler just on the top of the head. Hessler drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Hessler - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Miguel Camacho!
Miguel Camacho seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
