Dennis has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Anibal Dennis has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maruban throws a head kick but Dennis moves out of range.
Maruban tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Dennis counters with a three punch combo that has Maruban backing up. Maruban nods at Dennis to acknowledge the strikes.
Maruban misses with a low kick.
Dennis throws a big counter combination but Maruban scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Maruban gets the takedown into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maruban in side control lands a decent elbow.

Dennis trying his best to control but Maruban has mounted him.

Maruban has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dennis's body.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Maruban is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Dennis has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Maruban has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Dennis taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Maruban doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Khom Maruban!
