The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cusumano avoids the head kick by Vazquez.
Cusumano keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vazquez closes the distance and clinches up with Cusumano, looking for a takedown. Vazquez pushes Cusumano against the cage but Cusumano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cusumano shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vazquez napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cusumano wants to control but Vazquez is keeping him busy.
Cusumano working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

It looks like John Vazquez has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cusumano lands a few punches from side control.

Cusumano lands a strong strike to the head of Vazquez. That's dazed him! Cusumano looking to finish here. Vazquez is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Cusumano lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
