The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Gary as he connects with a hook.
Kagiyama looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gary steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kagiyama.
Gary uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kagiyama.
Gary misses with the combination.
Gary throws a right hand that Kagiyama ducks under and follows up with a left that Kagiyama also avoids with ease.
Kagiyama throws an off balance right hand
and Gary counters with a nice uppercut.
Kagiyama throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gary stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Terunari Kagiyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whack! Kagiyama lands a heavy head kick that drops Gary. The ref tackles Kagiyama to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Gary was done.
