Blanco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De Lange swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
De Lange goes for a double leg but Blanco avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blanco continues to drive forward.

De Lange is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Blanco's half guard.

De Lange shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blanco sprawls well. Blanco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. De Lange gets slowly back to his feet.

Blanco tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but De Lange defends well and Blanco ends up having to push De Lange into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Gerd De Lange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
