The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLeod shoots for a takedown but Skovgaard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
MacLeod keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
MacLeod shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Skovgaard counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
MacLeod fails with a takedown attempt.
Valentin Skovgaard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor MacLeod.
Skovgaard dips to his left and cracks MacLeod with an uppercut!
It looks like Connor MacLeod has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skovgaard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by MacLeod.
MacLeod drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

MacLeod is trying to move to mount but Skovgaard reverses beautifully and ends up in MacLeod's guard.
Skovgaard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacLeod swivels though and keeps the full guard.

MacLeod pulls Skovgaard in close to his closed guard and prevents Skovgaard from doing any damage or advancing position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Skovgaard blocks a head kick by MacLeod.
Horrible takedown attempt by MacLeod or perhaps it was just good defense by Skovgaard, which made it look bad.
MacLeod bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
MacLeod drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Skovgaard defends it well.
MacLeod throws a series of punches but Skovgaard avoids them all with ease.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from MacLeod is defended easily by Skovgaard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Skovgaard counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
MacLeod shoots in for a takedown but Skovgaard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
MacLeod shoots in but Skovgaard avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Skovgaard is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
MacLeod gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Skovgaard counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! MacLeod has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
