Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benny Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Merle Highchurch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver comes to the cage accompanied by Natural Born Killaz by Dr Dre & Ice Cube. Benny Silver has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silver pushes Highchurch up against the cage in a clinch.
Highchurch's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Highchurch's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Highchurch tries to stall but Silver uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Highchurch is trying to maintain a safe position but Silver gets an underhook and turns Highchurch into the cage.

It looks like Merle Highchurch has been cut.
Highchurch is trying to break the clinch but Silver is controlling him.
Silver definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Silver throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Highchurch works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Silver escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Highchurch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silver pulls Highchurch in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Silver holds on and takes a little breather.

Silver is looking for a triangle but Highchurch pushes his legs off easily.
Silver is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Highchurch's guard.

Highchurch is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silver is controlling him well.

Silver is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's time! Silver's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silver darts in and clinches Highchurch up against the cage.

Highchurch has Silver pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Highchurch pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silver tumbling to the mat - Highchurch dives into Silver's guard.

Silver working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Highchurch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Highchurch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Highchurch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Highchurch looks to land a strike but Silver avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Highchurch avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Highchurch is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Silver has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Highchurch is looking to defend but Silver has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Highchurch! Silver pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Highchurch taps out and this one is all over!
