Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keithy Konrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keithy Konrad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Parker!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker throws a solid leg kick but Konrad takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Parker.
Parker's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Parker duly obliges.


It looks like Keithy Konrad has been cut.
Parker throws a leg kick but Konrad sees it coming and moves out of range.
Konrad will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Konrad shoots for a takedown but Parker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Konrad shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keithy Konrad. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Parker stalks Konrad and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Konrad's face. Konrad staggers backwards, shaken.
A jab-cross combination lands for Parker and sends Konrad crashing to the mat! Parker follows him down to the mat - Konrad regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Konrad on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Konrad tries to get out of the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Konrad looks for a takedown but Parker sprawls well.
Konrad is breathing heavily.
Parker looks to land a combination. Konrad sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Konrad avoids a punch combination nicely.
Parker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Parker looks to land a combination. Konrad sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Parker lands with a nice body punch.

Konrad moves in looking to clinch but Parker pushes him off.
Parker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Konrad throws a combination that misses
and Parker makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Parker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Konrad is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Parker lands with a nice combination. Konrad backs away looking to recover.

Parker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Konrad looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parker is trying to control but can't.
Konrad drops an elbow to the side of Parker's head.

Konrad slips a nice elbow through Parker's hands, connecting with Parker's forehead.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Konrad working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Konrad is nestled in close to Parker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Konrad shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Konrad showed some decent athleticism there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Peter Parker dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Keithy Konrad's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Konrad tries to clinch but Parker is having none of it.

Konrad swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Parker counters with a nice uppercut.
Parker throws a front kick aimed at Konrad's knee but Konrad avoids it well.
Parker fails to land with a series of punches.
Konrad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Parker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Konrad has taken the fight to the clinch.

Konrad breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Konrad lands with a nice combination. Parker backs away looking to recover.
Konrad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parker as he avoids it easily.
Parker misses with a two punch combination.

Konrad closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Konrad lands in his opponent's guard.

Parker is looking for a triangle but Konrad pushes his legs off easily.

Parker is trying to hold Konrad in close to prevent damage but Konrad has managed to pass into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Konrad looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Parker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Konrad connects with a nice short shot to Parker's temple.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Konrad looks up at the clock and then as Parker takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Konrad smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Parker tries to buck Konrad off but Konrad is having none of it.
Konrad lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Parker down.

Konrad is working Parker over with some ground and pound from side control.
Check out the look on Konrad's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Konrad cracks Parker with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Konrad looks up at the clock and then as Parker takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Konrad smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parker takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
