Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Drebin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Tapout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Drebin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Tapout!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drebin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tapout to the mat! Tapout manages to get full guard.

Tapout working for a triangle but Drebin defends it easily.
Tapout tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tapout is on top in guard.
Tapout trying to control but Drebin is working from the bottom.
Drebin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tapout.
Drebin keeping moving, preventing Tapout from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tapout wants to pass the guard but Drebin is keeping the position.

Drebin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tapout manages to get himself to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tapout is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Drebin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tapout is one step ahead there.
Drebin is working hard here to advance position.
Tapout trying to control but Drebin is working from the bottom.
Drebin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tapout on the ground.

Drebin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tapout trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tapout thows a big elbow that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tapout shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Drebin counters with a big head kick but Tapout shrugs it off.

Drebin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tapout looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tapout tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tapout stops Drebin from passing to mount.
Tapout is looking to reverse the position.
Drebin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tapout keeps working.
Tapout tries to bench press Drebin off him but Drebin keeps the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tapout regains half guard.
Drebin is tying to control. Tapout wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Drebin dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Drebin counters with a shoot takedown. Tapout fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Tapout manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Tapout can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Drebin controls the pace.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tapout bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Drebin's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Drebin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tapout advances position into side control!
Tapout cracks Drebin with a big right hand but Drebin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Tapout advances to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tapout postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Drebin looks a forlorn figure.

Tapout is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Drebin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tapout looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Drebin wants to control but Tapout is having none of it.
Drebin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Drebin tries to get out of the position.

Tapout is working for a guillotine from mount but Drebin frees his head quite easily.
Tapout misses with a head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Tommy Tapout will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Drebin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tapout won't be happy with that.
Tapout is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Drebin off and has taken his back!

Tapout is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Drebin is tapping out! This one is all over!
