Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigurd Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace has chosen Down with the Sickness (instrumental) -Disturbed as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sigurd Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace misses with a straight right.
Wallace throws a low kick but Kim moves out of range easily.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kim - that will leave a mark!
Sigurd Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallace throws a head kick that misses.
Kim is looking to counter punch.
Kim with a hook.
Kim slips a jab from Wallace.
Kim quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kim.
Wallace misses the jab.
Wallace misses with a jab to the body
and Kim counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wallace thinking.
Wallace looks for the body kick but Kim saw that one coming.
Wallace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Decent striking displayed by Kim there.

Wallace forces Kim back against the cage and clinches.
Wallace tries to score a body lock takedown but Kim shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Wallace goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kim prevents it.
Wallace has Kim pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kim manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Daniel Kim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sigurd Wallace.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kim gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wallace goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kim prevents it.

Kim is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wallace is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kim to the mat. Kim regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Kim preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kim on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kim tries to get out of the position.
Kim keeping moving, preventing Wallace from controlling successfully.
Wallace advances to half guard.
Kim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wallace on the ground.
Wallace trying to pass the guard but Kim defending well.
Wallace is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Wallace is looking for a kimura but Kim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wallace to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kim is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wallace working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Wallace trying to mount his opponent but Kim defends it.
Wallace looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kim with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Wallace is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kim has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wallace wants to take a breather but Kim is having none of it.

Wallace is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kim sees it coming and defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wallace is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wallace seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kim is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Sigurd Wallace!
Our winner, Sigurd Wallace, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
