Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmond Tarverdyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Villa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edmond Tarverdyan! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villa feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tarverdyan's calf. Villa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tarverdyan! Villa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tarverdyan to his feet. Villa throws a leg kick but Tarverdyan sees it coming and moves out of range. Villa scores with a takedown into Tarverdyan's guard. Villa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Villa passes Tarverdyan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Villa not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tarverdyan trying to control from the bottom.
Villa tries to stand but can't do so whilst Tarverdyan controls his leg. Villa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tarverdyan is just riding it out for now. Villa eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarverdyan trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Tarverdyan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tarverdyan is trying to maintain the position but Villa is very close to passing his half guard. Villa throwing shots but Tarverdyan is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Villa is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Tarverdyan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Villa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Villa has hold of Tarverdyan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tarverdyan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Tarverdyan tries to hold on but Villa pushes him away. Villa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Villa has hold of Tarverdyan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tarverdyan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Villa controlling his opponent. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Villa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Villa unloads with some shots from mount but Tarverdyan bucks and avoids them well.
Poor strikes thrown by Villa there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Villa working for a submission but Tarverdyan is keeping him at bay. Tarverdyan wants to hold on but Villa pushes him away. Villa thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Villa trying to control but Tarverdyan is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Villa controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tarverdyan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Villa gets to his feet - Tarverdyan follows without any prompting. Villa tries to move into range but Tarverdyan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Tarverdyan with a jab. Villa pushes Tarverdyan up against the cage in a clinch. Villa gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Villa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tarverdyan's head. Tarverdyan is defending against the submission attempts here by Villa.
Villa controlling the action here. Tyler Villa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarverdyan wants to get back to full guard but Villa has mounted him! Tarverdyan wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Villa.

Villa has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tarverdyan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Villa missing with punches from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Villa misses with an elbow to the head. Tarverdyan avoids the strikes from Villa. Villa has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Tarverdyan's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tarverdyan rolls, trying to escape but Villa keeps control of the position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Villa somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Villa missing with punches from the back. Villa has good solid back control here. Tarverdyan tries to break free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Villa looking to break Tarverdyan's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Tarverdyan remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Villa will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Tyler Villa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tarverdyan tries to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyler Villa showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Villa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
