Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Sergei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Igor Sergei!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sergei drives through with a takedown into Gray's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Sergei postures up and lands a big shot to Gray's brow.
Gray not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sergei seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Gray pushes Sergei off looking to stand but Sergei dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gray looks to score with a jab to the body but Sergei is just out of range.
Sergei wants to counter with a clinch but Gray pushes him away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sergei.
Gray takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Sergei decides to stand back up. Sergei steps back and let's Gray get back to his feet.
Sergei tries a head kick but it misses.

Gray wants to clinch up but Sergei keeps it at a distance.

and Sergei counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gray thinking.
Gray moves out of range of the leg kick from Sergei.

Sergei takes the fight into the clinch.

Sergei gets control of Gray's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sergei will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gray prevents Sergei from getting back to his feet.

Sergei is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gray defends well.

Gray throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sergei works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Gray got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sergei has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gray has managed to get both his arms back between Sergei's legs - danger averted.
Gray is fighting to break Sergei's control of his arms but Sergei is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Gray wants to stand and escape but instead Sergei has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Sergei decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Gray gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergei throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gray tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sergei is in Gray's guard.
Sergei is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sergei. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Gray manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Sergei is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gray's half guard.
Sergei is nestled in close to Gray, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sergei takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gray throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Sergei manages to pass to side control.

Sergei content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sergei is working Gray over with some ground and pound from side control.
Igor Sergei has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sergei tries to move to mount but Gray blocks the move with his legs.
Sergei is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gray's shoulder. That is not cool.

Sergei decides to stand back up. Sergei steps back and let's Gray get back to his feet.
Sergei throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Sergei closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gray quickly recovers to half guard.
Still in half guard, Sergei seems content to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gray tries to get to full guard but Sergei has control of the leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sergei is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sergei tries to stand and escape but Gray is controlling the position.
Sergei uses his free foot to push down on Gray's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gray.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gray is looking to improve his position but Sergei isn't that keen on the idea.
Sergei pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Gray tries to lock up and control but Sergei gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sergei controlling the pace for now.
Gray has given up his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sergei has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gray's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Igor Sergei showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sergei is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gray sees it coming and defends easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gray is looking to control Sergei's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gray avoid being mounted?

Sergei is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gray has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gray tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sergei tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gray tries to bench press Sergei off him but Sergei keeps the position.
Corey Gray has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Igor Sergei is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sergei slows the pace down.

Igor Sergei comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sergei has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
