Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots for a takedown but GSP saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
GSP tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
GSP stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
GSP blocks a head kick by Silva.
GSP tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Young GSP has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Silva.
Silva scoring well with a low kick there.
GSP pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

GSP has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.

GSP's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
GSP wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but GSP has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with GSP. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

GSP has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.
GSP pulls Silva in to control the position.

Silva stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and GSP has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Silva manages to get his head free but now GSP has transitioned to an armbar! Silva grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from GSP! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
