PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ton Ki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalem Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ton Ki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kalem Roberts!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ki tries to avoid it but Roberts manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ki to the ground. Ki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ki throws a jab but it's blocked by Roberts.
Ki punishes Roberts's body with a nice straight punch.

Ki clinches up with Roberts and pushes him back against the cage.
Ki lands a shot to the body.
Roberts looks winded!
Ki lands an uppercut.
A right hand to the body from Ki.
Roberts's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Ki lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Ki scores with a hook to the body.

Ki drops Roberts onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Roberts is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Roberts is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Still in the clinch, Ki scores with a nice short uppercut.
Roberts is still on wobbly legs! Can Ki finish him?
Clinched against the cage, Ki lands a big elbow that drops Roberts! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Roberts is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ton Ki!
